Robyn and Jacob Wish to Adopt
​Our Story
Although we lived across the street from each other at college in Michigan, our paths did not cross until we found ourselves working for the same company at our first jobs out of college in New York City. We built a strong friendship in the first six months of knowing each other, and now, after ten years together, we are still each other's best friend and go-to person for all of life's highs and lows.
We are a team in all that we do. We approach both the tough decisions and the joys of life together, and we always make decisions as a family and discuss all of our options. We encourage each other, motivate each other, listen to each other, communicate with each other, and are always aware of the other's needs and desires.
Our home is our happy place -- a cozy and comfortable place where we can truly relax. We enjoy hosting our family and friends whenever possible, and love creating an environment where our guests can have a great time.
We live in New York across the street from a fabulous park and playground that is always filled with the laughs and squeals of young children from our wonderful neighborhood. The community where we live is filled with children and has a great playroom and even a safe, kid-friendly rockclimbing wall outside! Down the street is the waterfront with lots of green spaces, fields, and child-friendly places to explore, including a nearly 100-year old carousel that we love to ride and watch children riding gleefully.
Living on the East Coast provides countless opportunities for family fun together -- from the beaches to the mountains to all types of cultural events! In our own city, there's a children's museum, a zoo that is perfect for young kids, a botanical garden, and activities every week that are geared toward families. There are many moments each day in which we imagine doing all of these things with our own child.
